You can’t make a great musician or a great photographer if the magic isn’t there.
This quote is from Eve Arnold, who sadly passed away today at the age of 99. Her interest in becoming a photographer began in 1946, when she worked for a photo-finishing plant in New York City. Over six weeks in 1948, she learned photographic skills from Harper’s Bazaar art director Alexei Brodovitch at the New School for Social Research in Manhattan. Eve photographed Marilyn Monroe, Jacqueline Kennedy arranging flowers with her daughter Caroline and much more.
